Ft. Snelling Funeral Photography | Minneapolis Minnesota

I had the sweetest experience of photographing a service at Ft. Snelling.

Now my dad was a Marine, and so I grew up with somewhat of an appreciation for the military, but attending the service of Mr. Bradford changed me for the better. I truly wish I could have thanked him for his service. I saw all of the volunteer veterans, and I sensed their honor and responsibility to him. I talked with several of the staff and learned how well they take care of the grounds and individual headstones. I felt the love of my country and for those who serve and protect it in a way that I, sadly, haven't felt in a while.

Most interesting all, I gained a new understanding of my own dad, and felt he would have chuckled and been proud as I swapped his old stories with other veterans (one of his favorite things to do) ❤️🇺🇸
